Many of us try to silence our negative self-talk by ignoring or shoving away the mean voice in our heads. But doing so it actually makes these self-critical thoughts stronger and louder.
Instead, try adding one supportive, positive thought about yourself a day. A thought like:
I am enough, just as I am.
I am doing my best, and it's okay to struggle.
I make mistakes just like everyone else; I can learn and grow from them.
I am capable of dealing with whatever comes my way.
Our inner critic may always be with us, but by adding these thoughts to the mix, we have another, warmer, kinder voice to listen to
