Magnus Carlsen just invented a new chess opening that I'm calling the "Bongcloud Gambit!" - and you're about to find out why! Here's how it works:

Magnus Carlsen is playing as White, and the first few moves of this new opening are 1.f3 d5 2.d4 c5 3.e4! This third move is the key - Magnus Carlsen is forced to gambit a pawn and break in the center right away with the aggressive move e2-e4 if he wants to avoid being significantly worse!

Of course this new chess opening is just completely insane, and Magnus Carlsen is the first person to play this opening (according to my Chessbase Database), making this a brand new chess opening!
