Lebanon’s new government promises reform amid economic crisis and political turmoil

Lebanon’s newly appointed Prime Minister Nawaf Salam has officially assumed his duties, after forming a government on Saturday.
The new administration is promising to deal with the economic crisis as well as reform institutions and fight corruption.
Salam is not part of the traditional political classes, and the balance of power no longer favours Hezbollah and its allies.
