Reviewing the best camera phones in 2025, out of the dozens that I've tested, including the Oppo Find X8 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, Vivo X200 Pro and more. These are my favourite smartphones for capturing photos and video right now, ahead of the S25 Ultra and Xiaomi 15 Ultra launches!

Google's flagships are still two of the best camera options for shooting great looking family photos. The Pixel 9 and Pro phones can capture slick pics day or night, while the 8a is great on a tighter budget. If you're more into video, check out the Oppo Find X8 Pro or Samsung's Galaxy S24 Ultra. And the Xiaomi 14 Ultra and Vivo X200 Pro are ideal smartphones for camera lovers, with expert video controls and incredible HDR smarts.

Last year's Huawei Pura 70 Ultra is still easily one of the best camera phones in 2025, although the lack of Google services will put many punters off. And then of course there's the Sony Xperia 1 VI.
