Amazon Kindle Scribe (2024) Review | Worth An Upgrade?

Reviewing Amazon's Kindle Scribe 2024, the second model which only slightly upgrades this enormous e-Reader, with a 'Premium' stylus. Is this one of your best e-ink options for 2025 vs the Remarkable 2, Boox Ultra etc? I've been testing the Kindle Scribe 2 for a couple of weeks so here's my final verdict!

That enormous 10.2-inch screen is crisp and bright, with an anti-glare finish as usual. So yes, the Kindle Scribe 2024 is a good device for reading outdoors, like most e-Readers. You've got full auto brightness and can tweak the temperature too, but there's no colour here. So graphic novel fans will be best off with the Boox Color Go or alternative options.

That stylus requires no charging and can magnetically stick to the edge of the Amazon Kindle Scribe 2024. You've got a decent selection of pen tools for scribbling and annotating books. Plus, that textured surface gives a paper-like impression, which is welcome. Of course, unlike its Boox rivals, the Kidle Scribe 2 is limited when it comes to crafting artworks etc. Likewise, there's no AI tools in the UK models, for some reason!

That's my thoughts on this e-Reader, which is quite pricey and not much of an upgrade vs the original Kindle Scribe. Check out my reviews of other Boox alternatives here on Tech Spurt!
