I’ve helped 170+ homebuyers in my career and the one thing I always stress is:

PRIORITIZE LONG-TERM VALUE 👏

Okay, Olivia I hear you but what does that mean??

It means pay attention to the details and don’t settle for a home that may not have the best upside when you are looking to sell 5-10 years down the road…

Look out for things like a super busy street, limited possibilities for expansion, steep hills, wonky floorplans, split-level living (yes, I said it and I can go on and on about this) lack of a primary bathroom, etc…

Now, I know the focus is on BUYING a home and not SELLING, HOWEVER it’s so important to keep this in mind when making a purchase because life happens 🤷‍♀️

You may think you found your dream home 🏡 but then have to relocate for work, or you have outgrown the home you once thought was going to be plenty big enough, or maybe you want better schools, or be closer to family…whatever the reason is it is important to be mindful of resale value because you never know what may happen in the future.

Plus, who doesn’t like to gain great amounts of equity while they’re at it?!

The LAST thing I want my buyers to feel is regret for buying a home and it’s my job to educate my clients on the pros and cons to every home 🤗
