PROMISES Day 5: Being Kind, Finding Glimmers in the Side Body
Welcome back to Yoga with Ciara for day five of our "Promises" journey. Today's focus is on kindness—to ourselves and within our movements. As we engage with our practice, remember the essence of kindness is not just a gentle touch but a profound acceptance of where we are at each moment.
In today’s session, we explore the side body and incorporate tins for added dimension in our stretches. Let's start in child's pose, extending our arms and feeling the stretch deepen with each breath. As you reach out with your hands, think of reaching out to the kindness within you, acknowledging the effort it takes to show up each day—whether it’s easy or challenging.
Our practice today integrates kindness with strength as we use the tins to enhance our side body stretches. Each movement is an opportunity to find glimmers of joy and comfort, even when we push our boundaries. Let these movements remind you of the flexibility not just in our bodies, but in our minds and spirits.
So, grab your tins, find your space, and prepare to extend kindness through every stretch and breath. This practice is a promise to ourselves to nurture our bodies and minds with gentleness and respect.

: 21 Days of Yoga with Ciara 🌟 March 1-21, 2025
This March, I invite you to join me in a transformative 21-day journey centered around the theme of PROMISES.
Together, we will explore the profound practice of integrity—keeping the commitments we make to ourselves.
This journey is an invitation to engage deeply with practices of self-care, commitment, focus, and habit formation.
What to Expect: Each day, we will focus on the promises we make to ourselves. Whether it’s a commitment to meditate, practice yoga, draw, paint, write, rest, sing, dance, eat healthily, or any other personal vow, this journey is about bringing sincerity and joy to these commitments. It’s about honoring our word to ourselves as an act of self-care, self-love.
Daily Commitment:
Choose a Commitment: At the start of the journey, I encourage you to choose a personal promise—something you wish to adhere to for the next 21 days.
Daily Practice: Whateverr it is, dedicate time each day to this commitment.
Reflective Journaling: If a day comes when you cannot fulfill your promise, spend five minutes journaling about why it wasn't possible or why you chose not to follow through. Approach this practice with kindness and understanding towards yourself.
Why This Journey? The 21 Days of PROMISES is not just about following through but also about understanding our actions and reactions without judgment. It’s about refining our speech, our habits, and our internal promises to reveal a more integrated and authentic self.
