Essential Egypt Tour, Day 5

We woke up at 6am for breakfast, and by 6:45 we were on the desert highway to Abu Simbel Temple. Leaving a bit later than other companies (who usually leave around 4:30am) meant that when we got to Ramses the Great’s temple complex, it was almost empty!

My guests loved having Abu Simbel almost to ourselves, and after a couple hours at this ancient site we did the 4 hour drive back to Aswan, and started cruising north on the Nile River on our Dahabiya Yacht, Kemet.
