In Chapter 6 of 10 in her 2014 Capture Your Flag interview, Stacie Bloom answers "Where did you learn your work ethic?" Bloom shares how she learned her hard work ethic from her family, including paternal grandparents who survived the Holocaust. She grows up watching them work long hours and work multiple jobs. She translates admiration she has for them into emulation in how she approaches her own work and studies. Stacie Grossman Bloom is the Senior Executive Director for Administration and Policy at NYU Langone Medical Center. Previous to NYU Langone, Bloom was VP and Scientific Director at the New York Academy of Sciences (NYAS). She has held editorial roles at the Journal of Clinical Investigation and Nature Medicine.
