"Expression" is John Coltrane's last album.
July 7. 1967 Coltrane died suddenly of liver cancer. He was 41 years old.
This obituary was extremely shocking as Coltrane was in the midst of energetic activity.
Many musicians attended the funeral on July 21, and the funeral was performed by Albert Ayler, Ornette Coleman and others.
Coltrane was a great jazz man who has been at the forefront of the jazz scene since the hard bop era and continued to transform himself until it became the spiritual pillar of the new jazz movement.
