Cobweb Christmas, The Tradition of Tinsel, written by Shirley Climo, Illustrated by Jane Manning and read by Grammy Field
Such a sweet story of a sweet, little old woman, who lived in Germany. The children called her Tante, which means Auntie in German. As Christmas approaches, Tante does a great deal of cleaning, including that of sweeping the spiders out of the house.
Learn how tinsel became a beautiful addition to the Christmas tree, yet before you learn that, you will see how this sweet old lady, does so much for the children in her town.
Enjoy this delightful story. I think it is now one of my new favorites to read at Christmas,
love,
Grammy Field (Laura)
