Hawkeye Breakdown: Hard of Hero-ing [CC] [AD]

Deaf and Hard of Hearing (HOH) characters are portrayed alongside each other in Marvel’s miniseries “Hawkeye.” Hawkeye, aka Clint Barton, is hard of hearing and uses hearing aids. In the movies, his hearing loss is due to years of combat and auditory trauma, but in the comics, it’s attributed to childhood abuse. Dr. Stephanie Van and Kellina (@DeafQueenBoss) watch clips from Hawkeye’s episode 3 (titled “Echoes”) and break down the show’s portrayal of the Hard of Hearing experience.
