Run by Ahmedaki Laloo, who is formally trained as a chef at the Welcomgroup Graduate School of Hotel Administration and has industry exposure of four years in multiple cities, A’Origins focuses on sit-downs and creates experiences in food services reflecting regions, seasons, and techniques. Their seasonal menus celebrate specific ingredients that represent biodiversity, heritage, indigenous practices, and culture while also partnering and collaborating with local vendors and entrepreneurs. A' origins owe their food ideologies to communities from Ri Bhoi and Jaintia Hills, who have been instrumental in providing the best ingredients and mentoring on original cooking techniques. They use sustainable cutlery, and energy-efficient cooking equipment and aim for a zero-waste policy.

About us:
The Outlook Responsible Tourism Initiative has been rallying to protect and preserve India’s heritage, be it a monument or an art form, an endangered bird or a musical tradition, out in the countryside or in our own backyard. We do it by celebrating and supporting people and planet-friendly travel companies, hotels, and homestays. We do it by telling travellers about the wonderful journeys they can take. We are one of the 5 affiliate members of UN Tourism in India. We work closely with the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC), the Adventure Tour Operators Association of India (ATOAI), and over 20 states across the country to create responsible content, organize impact-led outreach programmes in remote regions, and host India’s most prestigious responsible tourism awards. We are also proud to have Incredible India as our partner for the Indian Responsible Tourism Awards for the past nine years. Subscribe to the Outlook Magazine YT channel and press the bell icon to get notified when we go live.
