Jenay DeCaussin: TTG National Champ, Women in Shooting Sports, & Wedding Planning

With a strong background in CrossFit, Jenay DeCaussin was intrigued when she found The Tactical Games. It wasn't long before she signed up and competed at her first Regional event in 2022. While most first-time competitors choose to dip their toe in one of the beginner divisions like Tactical or Intermediate, Jenay decided to compete in Elite. Later that season she went on to compete at Nationals, finishing fourth in the Women's Elite. Fast forward to 2023, she stood on top of the podium as the Tactical Games National Champ.

I sat down with Jenay leading up to the 2024 Tactical Games Nationals to talk more about how she got into the sport, her recent engagement with finance Jake, what it's like competing in male-dominated sports, and her expectations for this year's championship.
