Balochistan Militants Open Fire On Pakistan Train In Hostage Crisis, 6 Security Men Killed

Separatist militants in Pakistan’s restive Balochistan province attacked a Peshawar-bound train on Tuesday and took nearly 400 passengers hostage. The provincial government suspected a terrorist involvement and activated emergency measures, according to local media.

“There are reports of intense firing at a Jaffar Express [train] going from Quetta to Peshawar," Dawn quoted Balochistan government spokesperson Shahid Rind’s statement. The spokesperson said the incident could be a possible terrorist incident.
