FilmClub Movie Review - Daisies (1966)

Vera Chytilová made one of the more bonkers movies we've ever had the pleasure to watch in this club.
Similar to one of my favorite previous filmclub picks, Celine and Julie Go Boating, we get to watch two young women go on a (sometimes) psychedelic adventure through their world of silly and spoiled men. With its jump cutting to different places, the use of color/monochrome film, and the soundscape of laughter and machinery, Daisies really isn't trying to follow any of the typical rules or make any of its audience feel "comfortable".

I was very pleased with this pick, and really glad to see that it has held up so well over the last 50 years.
