Abhyang Snan is observed on three days during Diwali - Narak Chaturdashi, Amavasya (Lakshmi Puja day), and Pratipada (Govardhan Puja day).
However, the Abhyang Snan on Narak Chaturdashi, holds the most significance. That day this is a ritual that goes beyond just a bath.
Taken before sunrise, this practice is believed to wash away negativity, sins, and any lasting negative karma, protecting individuals from the fate of Narak (hell).
This tradition encourages a renewal of both body and spirit, inviting positivity and helping us let go of stress and emotional burdens. And also reminds us to clear away the old and make room for the light, peace, and joy that Diwali brings into our lives.
Shubh Diwali
