After Mark gets his new blue suit and the story continues on, we fast forward to the day that Mark goes to visit his costume maker in the middle of the night, as he lets himself in and waits in Art’s chair. Art walks in wondering what it is that Mark is doing there, and Mark tells him that over the last few months, everything he’s experienced have made him more like his father, and he’s not talking about the good parts either. Mark talks about every terrible thing that’s happened, from his battle with conquest, to having to see Atom Eve die, to losing some of his friends in the Invincible War, and the small hill of bodies in his name that are piling up as this hero who used to have a rule about taking lives, ends the lives of more and more of his villains. Mark tells Art that he feels like this Blue Suit, is a Curse. That ever since he’s put this on, he’s seen the world itself leveled infront of him, and he’s gotten to the point where it’s hard to hold himself back from doing what needs to be done to put a stop to it, but when he looks in the mirror at himself in this suit, he can’t stand it. He doesn’t even know who he is now, and thinks this version of Invincible was a mistake, but Art replies that if that’s the case then he doesn’t NEED to wear that costume anymore. That if the suit really is cursed, it’s time to go back to basics, as we see Mark flying away in a brand new upgraded version of his original suit, and as his smile returns, the end of the curse is nowhere to be seen.
