#blacklivesmatter #Blackouttuesday Black lives matter is a movement for all because it affects everyone. This poem is a voice for the voiceless, it is a cry for help, it is calling upon all the nations of the world to unite and stand against all forms of inequality be it race, gender, class etc. it calls for the eradication of the power struggles that lead to oppression of the minority by the majority of those who are in power. It reminds us that the power is in the streets because that is where people are. It reminds us that silence is offensive and it means consenting to living under such horrific conditions. It emphasizes unity and togetherness because at the end of the day “all lives matter but we’re focusing on the black one right now, ok? Because it is very apparent that the judicial system doesn’t know that.”
