I ended this year with really mixed feelings - in 2022 we really went after traveling the world and traveled to 9 COUNTRIES (maybe that’s not a lot for some world travelers, but for us it was mind blowing).

However, in 2023, we only went on 3 pretty big trips visiting 2 other countries, one of which (Mexico) we already visited before. So we only added one new country to the list.

But after having made this little video recapping the year, I realized how incredible and beautiful the year really was - traveling and adding countries to the list is not the be all and end all. I love traveling but it is a “means”, not an “end” for happiness and fulfillment. After all, this year had so many meaningful moments while traveling, but also spending time and making memories with friends and loved ones.

Now that being said, 2024 will certainly bring about more adventure and travel 😅 in 2 weeks we will embark on another massive 3 month adventure where we will visit 5 countries! And although we are incredibly eager and excited, we will also miss the small things about living a steady life and having community. So as another year starts, we hope to still find that perfect balance of adventure, freedom, making memories, meaning, community, and family. Bring it on 2024 💪🏽😁
