The Romanian Deadlift is deadlift which maintains rigidity in the knees and is more hip than quad-dominant. Start with feet shoulder width with both hands holding a barbell. Then maintaining a straight spine squeeze your glutes and extend to a standing position. Then hinge at the hips and return the the starting position. This is one repetition.
The RDL is a great exercise for isolating the hamstrings over the quads in the DL.
