The cruise starts in Gudvangen, a village with a special connection to Viking history. Its name means "the place of worship of the gods" in Old Norse, and it might have been a site of pilgrimage for the heathen Vikings. You will board a modern electric boat that glides silently through the water, allowing you to fully appreciate the nature around you. The boat has panoramic windows that give you a 360-degree view of the fjord.

As you sail along the Nærøyfjord, you will pass by several small communities that have preserved their traditional way of life. You will see Bakka, a village with a beautiful white church from 1859, and Tufte, a farm that produces organic cheese and wool. You will also see Styvi, a village that has only four permanent residents and no road access. You can disembark here and explore the area on foot, or stay on board and continue to Dyrdal, another village that can only be reached by boat or hiking trail.

One of the highlights of the cruise is the Sagfossen waterfall, which has a total drop of 575 meters. The boat will get close enough for you to feel the spray of water on your face. You will also see other smaller waterfalls along the way, especially in spring and summer when the snow melts from the mountains.

The cruise ends in Flåm, a picturesque village at the end of the Aurlandsfjord. Flåm is famous for its railway, which is one of the most visited tourist attractions in Norway. The railway runs between Flåm and Myrdal, and offers a spectacular ride through a mountain landscape with tunnels, bridges and valleys. Flåm also has several restaurants, cafes and shops where you can enjoy local food and souvenirs.
