First day of my road trip and I had to BUY a new tent... 😂 Great Ocean Road - Day 1 travel vlog

The first day of my solo road trip along the Great Ocean Road began in Torquay where I checked out Bells Beach. There wasn't many waves and nobody surfing.

Next up I stopped in Aireys Inlet at the Split Point Lighthouse. I paid $10 for a self-guided tour, went inside and walked all the way up to the top. The view from the top was beautiful and worth all the stairs.

Then on the way to Lorne I quickly stop at the Memorial Arch at Eastern View which is where the World War 1 returned soldiers are recognised for building the Great Ocean Road. It took them 14 years.

Once in Lorne, I stopped at the Visitor Information Centre before a short drive out of town took me to Erskine Falls. A gorgeous waterfall with two viewing platforms. It can get very busy there though!

Teddy's Lookout was next on my list where I took in amazing views of the Great Ocean Road and the mountains by the ocean. Highly recommend this lookout.

I then made my way to the Cumberland River Holiday Park to set my tent up for the night. Unfortunately I was unable to (watch the vlog to see why) and had to go buy a myself a new tent. A bit of a fail for the first day of my trip but it's all part of the adventure.
