When does aging begin? (and rejuvenation)

When does aging really begin? Before we are born? Mid-life? Or some point early after conception? Well, in this video I will discuss this by using the ground zero concept - the idea that the time when aging begins must correspond to the point at which biological age is the lowest. Sound obvious? Or maybe not? Either way, this concept is surprisingly useful to think about the aging process, in particular rejuvenation that must happen soon after conception. Better understanding early life rejuvenation will aid in the development of somatic cell reprogramming (cellular reprogramming) which has many therapeutic applications in regenerative medicine.
