Kia Carens MPV India Launch In Q1 2022. The Kia Carens recently premiered in India ahead of its market launch slated for sometime in February-March. Following the Seltos and Sonet, the Carens is the third mass-market product from Kia in our country. The Kia Carens will likely go on sale in early-2022, at prices starting from Rs 15 lakh (ex-showroom, India). The MPV will lock horns with the Hyundai Alcazar, Mahindra XUV 700 and Tata Safari. It either comes in 6 or a 7 seater layout and promises to offer good amount of space and comfort to all three row passengers. We expect the prices of Kia Carens to start from Rs. 11 lakh while the top-end diesel automatic variant might cost around Rs. 18 lakh (both prices, ex-showroom). The Carens will be powered by either a 1.4L Turbo petrol or a 1.5L turbo diesel. In terms of transmission options the petrol will either be mated to a 7-speed DCT or a 6-speed manual while the diesel will get a 6-speed AT or a 6-speed manual transmission.
