The resort started construction in February 2007 and changed ownerships a few times. The resort cost of $3.7 billion to build and finished after 16 years. It opened on December 13, 2023 with a ribbon cutting event at 10AM earlier in the day and private event for invited guests before it open to the general public late that evening. The hotel tower is 67 stories and has 3,644 rooms. It is 737 feet (225 m) tall making it the tallest occupiable building in the state of Nevada. Fontainebleau features restaurants like Komodo Las Vegas, Papi Steak Las Vegas, and Don's Prime. It is home to the Bleaulive Theater and LIV Nightclub Las Vegas.
