On Tuesday night, the nation sat through a speech full of unrestrained attacks on civil rights—like a blast from the 1960s. The GOP isn’t hiding it anymore. They’re openly against diversity, equity, and inclusion. They celebrate opposition to civil rights, and Donald Trump? He got a standing ovation for endorsing a deportation program that ripped apart families. And let’s not forget—his judges wouldn’t even confirm that Brown v. Board of Education was rightly decided. This isn’t politics as usual. This is white supremacy on full display. Time to stop tiptoeing and call it what it is.
