నమస్తేఽస్తు మహామాయే శ్రీపీఠే సురపూజితే ।
శంఖచక్ర గదాహస్తే మహాలక్ష్మి నమోఽస్తు తే ॥ 1 ॥

నమస్తే గరుడారూఢే కోలాసుర భయంకరి ।
సర్వపాపహరే దేవి మహాలక్ష్మి నమోఽస్తు తే ॥ 2 ॥

సర్వజ్ఞే సర్వవరదే సర్వ దుష్ట భయంకరి ।
సర్వదుఃఖ హరే దేవి మహాలక్ష్మి నమోఽస్తు తే ॥ 3 ॥

సిద్ధి బుద్ధి ప్రదే దేవి భుక్తి ముక్తి ప్రదాయిని ।
మంత్ర మూర్తే సదా దేవి మహాలక్ష్మి నమోఽస్తు తే ॥ 4 ॥

ఆద్యంత రహితే దేవి ఆదిశక్తి మహేశ్వరి ।
యోగజ్ఞే యోగ సంభూతే మహాలక్ష్మి నమోఽస్తు తే ॥ 5 ॥

స్థూల సూక్ష్మ మహారౌద్రే మహాశక్తి మహోదరే ।
మహా పాప హరే దేవి మహాలక్ష్మి నమోఽస్తు తే ॥ 6 ॥

పద్మాసన స్థితే దేవి పరబ్రహ్మ స్వరూపిణి ।
పరమేశి జగన్మాతః మహాలక్ష్మి నమోఽస్తు తే ॥ 7 ॥

శ్వేతాంబరధరే దేవి నానాలంకార భూషితే ।
జగస్థితే జగన్మాతః మహాలక్ష్మి నమోఽస్తు తే ॥ 8 ॥

మహాలక్ష్మష్టకం స్తోత్రం యః పఠేద్ భక్తిమాన్ నరః ।
సర్వ సిద్ధి మవాప్నోతి రాజ్యం ప్రాప్నోతి సర్వదా ॥

ఏకకాలే పఠేన్నిత్యం మహాపాప వినాశనమ్ ।
ద్వికాలం యః పఠేన్నిత్యం ధన ధాన్య సమన్వితః ॥

త్రికాలం యః పఠేన్నిత్యం మహాశత్రు వినాశనమ్ ।
మహాలక్ష్మీ ర్భవేన్-నిత్యం ప్రసన్నా వరదా శుభా ॥

Goddess Lakshmi is worshipped to attain wealth, beauty and good luck. Lakshmi is described as bestowing coins of prosperity and flanked by elephants signifying her royal power. Her expression is always calm and loving. By prayers to Goddess Lakshmi, She blesses you with success and wealth. Lakshmi Sanskrit: लक्ष्मी, romanized: Lakṣmī, lit. 'she who leads to one's goal'), also known as Shri (Sanskrit: Śrī, lit. is one of the principal goddesses in Hinduism. She is the goddess of wealth, fortune, power, beauty and prosperity,[8] and associated with Maya Illusion. Within the Goddess-oriented Shaktism, Lakshmi is venerated as a principle aspect of the Mother goddess. Lakshmi is both the wife and divine energy (shakti) of the Hindu god Vishnu, the Supreme Being of Vaishnavism; she is also the Supreme Goddess in the sect and assists Vishnu to create, protect and transform the universe. Whenever Vishnu descended on the earth as an avatar, Lakshmi accompanied him as consort, for example as Sita and Radha or Rukmini as consorts of Vishnu's avatars Rama and Krishna respectively. The eight prominent manifestations of Lakshmi, the Ashtalakshmi symbolize the eight sources of wealth.

Lakshmi is depicted in Indian art as an elegantly dressed, prosperity-showering golden-coloured woman standing or siting in padmasana on a lotus throne, while holding a lotus in her hand, symbolizing fortune, self-knowledge, and spiritual liberation. Her iconography shows her with four hands, which represent the four aspects of human life important to Hindu culture: dharma, kāma, artha, and moksha. Lakshmi Sahasranama of Skanda Purana, Lakshmi Tantra, Markandeya Purana, Devi Mahatmya and vedic scriptures describes Lakshmi as having eighteen hands. The same scriptures describe Lakshmi as sitting on Garuda, Lion or Tiger.
