सांगलीहून शिरगुप्पीकडे येताना गोकाक तालुक्यातील राजापूर गावातील रिअल इस्टेट व्यावसायिक बसवराज निलप्पा अंबी यांचे अपहरण करणाऱ्या आरोपींच्या शोधासाठी कारवाई सुरू असल्याचे जिल्हा पोलीस अधीक्षक डॉ. भीमाशंकर गुलेड यांनी सांगितले.
बुधवारी बेळगावमध्ये पत्रकारांशी बोलताना त्यांनी माहिती दिली की, रिअल इस्टेट व्यावसायिकाच्या अपहरणानंतर पाच कोटी रुपयांची खंडणी मागण्यात आली आहे. याबाबत बसवराज यांच्या पत्नी शोभा यांनी घटनाप्रभा पोलीस ठाण्यात तक्रार दाखल केली आहे.
फेब्रुवारी १४ रोजी अपहरण करणाऱ्या टोळीने काल रात्री कुटुंबीयांना फोन करून पाच कोटी रुपयांची मागणी करत त्यांना सोडून देण्याचे आश्वासन दिल्याचे सांगण्यात आले आहे.
District Superintendent of Police, Dr. Bhimashankar Guled, announced that a search operation is underway for the accused involved in the abduction of Basavaraj Nillappa Ambi, a real estate businessman from Rajapur village in Gokak taluk.
Speaking to reporters in Belagavi on Wednesday, Dr. Guled said, "The abductors have demanded a ransom of ₹5 crore. Basavaraj's wife, Shobha, filed a complaint at the Ghataprabha police station, stating that her husband was abducted on February 14. The gang contacted the family last night, demanding ₹5 crore for his release," he added.
