Since Halloween is just around the corner, I thought I would do a Halloween special. And one outcome that is very frightening that happens to many people is memory loss. In particular, Alzheimer's disease, the most common neurodegenerative disease. What makes this even scarier is the fact that currently there is no cure to tackle the onset of the disease, only methods to slow down the progression. So, in this video I will recap some key points about the disease and mention a recent study that has found an association between an exercise-induced hormone, irisin, and how it may offer protection from neurodegeneration. So scary, with a positive outlook.
