[ARABIC] Protecting Civilians from the Use of Explosive Weapons in Populated Areas

The closing session of the Global Protection Forum 2023 is organised by OCHA, UNHCR, ICRC and Article36.


This session will focus on preventing the use of explosive weapons in populated areas given the recently adopted Political Declaration on Strengthening the Protection of Civilians from the Humanitarian Consequences Arising from the Use of Explosive Weapons in Populated Areas and the Protection Cluster’s role in supporting its implementation. It speaks to the humanitarian impacts of EWIPA use as witnessed by protection actors on the ground, including for humanitarian access.
