Many people with OCD feel unsure if their struggles are “bad enough” to need help, or question if they even have OCD in the first place. Andrea Wells hears these doubts and concerns often as a NOCD Member Advocate, and she relates—as someone who suffered with OCD, she used to have them herself.
Now, to help others take their first step toward better understanding and managing OCD, Andrea is joined by NOCD Therapist Catherine Nakonetschny during this Q&A.
This cameras-off virtual event is a safe, judgment-free space for anyone feeling stuck, hesitant, or unsure if they have OCD. Come as you are and ask whatever’s on your mind. You’ll walk away with a better understanding of the feelings people often experience at this stage, how to find help and support, and what getting proper care is really like.
About the hosts:
Catherine Nakonetschny, MSW, LCSW: Catherine sought out NOCD’s in-depth, specialized therapist training program and became a NOCD Therapist because she recognized the gap in care and education for people living with OCD, and wanted to be an agent for change.
Andrea Wells: After 20 years of suffering with undiagnosed OCD, getting proper care changed Andrea’s life. Since then, she’s supported hundreds of NOCD Members and watched therapy change their lives, too.
