Plastic carrier bag fees could soon be doubled to 10p in all shops across Kent.

It comes after figures revealed more than 3 billion single-use bags are supplied free each year by England's small businesses - with the new change coming into effect as early as January 2020.

We asked shoppers in Maidstone if it is a good idea to increase the price of plastic bags.
