Rockin La Jolla

Today was my 1st shot at the 2015 rockfish season. And it was my son’s first time fishing rocks from the kayak. No wind or swell made for perfect spot and stalk conditions out on the canyon. We paddled along the 100-200 foot mark where the canyon walls are shear. Here I showed my son how to zoom way out looking for potential fish. Once found, then how to zoom in until an id was made. We kept ten reds. All caught on the Cortez CZ-5Cs and Cedros Speed Jig Stick.
