UN acknowledges ICC arrest warrant against former Philippine president Rodrigo Duterte

UN human rights chief spokesperson Ravina Shamdasani said that the agency had “long documented the severe human rights impacts of the so-called war on drugs in the Philippines” following the arrest of Philippine ex-President Rodrigo Duterte.

The UN human rights spokesperson stressed Duterte must act in “accordance with the law”.
