Comedian Sudesh Lehri, who became a household name through his comedy shows, has a life story that serves as an inspiration. Recently, the actor appeared on Archana Puran Singh’s YouTube show, where he opened up about his life and shared many secrets with the actress and her family.
Sudesh reveals that he faced extreme poverty during his childhood and early career. To meet his ends, he sold tea and vegetables and even worked in a shop that made nuts and bolts for quite some time.
Sudesh also told Archana Puran Singh’s son that he used to sell vegetables. In response, Archana’s son Ayushman jokingly said that if he were in Sudesh’s place, he would have bought the entire shop. The comedian also recalled that when he first began performing live shows, the experience was far from pleasant.
Before rising to fame as a Bollywood superstar, Jackie Shroff lived with his family in a humble Mumbai chawl. In a conversation with Ranveer Allahbadia, he opened up about the difficult days of his early life and the struggles he endured during that period.
He recalled the time when he had to wait for hours in a queue outside the public toilet in front of his chawl. He said, “There were seven small buildings, and we had a total of three bathrooms for all the people in those buildings. There would be a line outside the toilet every morning because people would be in a hurry to go to work.”
Jackie’s life faced another major setback when his older brother died in front of his eyes. He revealed that while trying to save a friend, his brother drowned, and the actor became a witness to the incident. To date, the accident haunts Shroff. He mentioned, “That’s trauma, it’s inside. It has to be, I don’t know where it is. I don’t want to dig it out.”
In his early years, Jackie Shroff sold peanuts outside movie theatres to support his family. With a career that spans over 40 years, he has appeared in more than 220 films in 13 different languages. Today, Jackie lives a life of luxury, residing in an expansive 8-bedroom home and owning a collection of high-end cars, including a BMW and a Mercedes.
Shroff made his lead debut with Subhash Ghai’s blockbuster actioner Hero (1983), which made him an overnight star.
