DESTRUCTIVE DERECHO-South Dakota Windstorm 05-13-2022

A widespread, and very damaging wind event ripped across Eastern, South Dakota today. Multiple reports of winds in excess of 90 and 100mph lead to many towns taking heavy damage from the storm complex. Dozens of semis and cars with trailers were tossed off of i90 like toys and small communities Southwest, of Sioux Falls sustained heavy damage to multiple homes, buildings and businesses with some structures being a total loss. Tonight, thousands are in the dark.
