JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR INTRODUCTION BY FRANK MUNOZ, DAVID JAMES, AND TED NEELEY - The Frida Cinema

On Friday, December 6th, The Frida Cinema welcomed the award-winning, legendary actor Ted Neeley back to our theater for a sixth and final time, marking the start of the "Jesus Christ Superstar Farewell Tour." With Director Frank Munoz and prolific Stills photographer David James as guests, the trio spoke about the memories made during the making of the film as they introduced a screening of the film one final time.

Film Description: This dazzling and powerful film is told mostly from the point of view of Judas Iscariot (a towering Carl Anderson, who received Golden Globe nominations for both Best Actor and Most Promising Newcomer), through Tim Rice’s moving libretto, and Lloyd Webber’s powerful score. The film presents political and interpersonal struggles between Judas, who is dissatisfied with the direction in which his friend is steering his disciples, and Jesus, whose enthused focus on his mission and message threatens the lives of all involved.
