People with anxiety have a nerve system that is stuck in the gas pedal (sympathetic nerve system). This causes a chronic fight or flight state. It leads our nerve system to be in a red alert state: overwhelm, racing mind, and anxiousness.

When you have a nerve system in this state, you need to find ways to stimulate the brake pedal side of your nerve system (the parasympathetic nerve system).

The most powerful way we know how to do that is through specific chiropractic adjustments. When you receive a specific chiropractic adjustment, a stimulus called proprioception travels from the spine up to our brain and frontal lobe. When our frontal lobe gets stimulated we are better able to shut off our amygdala, fight or flight centers. It works as a scale, when one side goes up, the other side goes down. When we stimulate the brake pedal, the gas pedal comes down. Chiropractic adjustments also stimulate the Vagus Nerve. This is our master brake pedal of the nerve system.

In our next video we will discuss Vagus Nerve Exercises you can complete from home to stimulate your brake pedal and reduce the effects of your gas pedal.

If you can’t wait for our next anxiety video to come out, skip the process and unlock our FREE Anxiety Vault. This will give you an entire library of information on anxiety, underlying causes of anxiety, and how to correct those underlying issues.
