A shoe-in for science
Jason Morgan is helping science take great strides in the world of e-learning.
Jason Morgan started his science career working for the NZ Leather and Shoe Research Association but quickly moved into education, currently teaching chemistry and physics at St Peter’s in Cambridge, where he is also Director of eLearning. A digital teaching and learning enthusiast, Jason has presented at national conferences on the use of hand-held devices and apps. This extends his longstanding interest in developing best-practice approaches - such as the PLUTO project, Māori achievement programmes and Science Inspired Mentors - which he is also embedding through a Masters in Instructional Design at Harvard University. Organiser of many regional events, founder of the Regional Physics Teacher Group and an active member of Waikato Science Teachers Association, Jason is a passionate and well-respected advocate for science education.
Jason Morgan was a finalist in the WINTEC Secondary Science Teacher/Educator Award. Kudos Awards 2020.
