A young driver named Mike Berge posted police station video that has
finally been released. The video was uploaded to YouTube earlier
today showing Seabrook officers slamming the man into a wall, then
throwing him to the floor and pepper spraying him, despite the fact
that he does not appear to be violent.
The video, taken November 11, 2009, is finally being released through
social media and YouTube, and is being reposted all over the Internet.
Bloggers are already spreading this far and wide on Twitter,
Facebook, Google+, and other social media sites. Several have already
made online remarks about officers looking right into the camera and
laughing.
This video is being released, ironically, as I am gathering signatures
for a citizen's petition asking voters within the Winnacunnet School
District if they've witnessed police misconduct in their respective
towns. The citizen's petition is spurred, in part, because selectmen
have insisted that no one has ever told them about police misconduct,
despite numerous lawsuits against the towns of Hampton, Hampton Falls,
and Seabrook.
