My advice for 2025...
For content creators, cool b-roll shots won't cut it in 2025. It's time to be on camera, realtime, and make sure to find stories in everything you create! This will not be an easy year though. You will feel pressure to lower prices and value to compete with generated AI, you will feel normalized in the wake of change like we've never seen it, and there will even be a few arenas like stock footage and product highlight videos that might cease to exist.
For businesses trying to create content, 2025 is going to be tough to stand out in the noise, especially with AI content flooding the market. It's not going to be enough to create the same reels and content that blend in with everything else. You will also feel pressured to use AI to generate unique content, but this strategy will likely backfire as your followers and customers see through it and lose the personal connection with you and your business. Don't get me wrong, content will be more important than ever with incredible upside potential, but unless you are focused on the consumer of that content, you will be chasing random vanity views.
Instead, it's time to level up with stories, real customer interactions, connected influencers, and a new formats of content that give back and provide value to your customers.
