Deleting my comment about my poor experience with someone you endorse doesn’t delete the experience. Just wanted to bring to your attention that she may not give everyone the same treatment she does you and let other people know from the area. I went on your recommendation and she was so unprofessional, the unwarned cancelations, and unmarked salon. It’s not a 5 min drive for me, and to show up on time as to respect hers, she didn’t even go in or care to text me to say that and didn’t respect mine. All said, I am not discrediting her work, the one time I was able to go she did a beautiful job.
Imagine looking this good at 7am. Must be nice
Lash lifts are far better then extensions... lashes have a life cycle of 3 months so the are constantly growing out and falling off so if you have a lash lift, the permed lashes grow out and falls off... lash extensions (taken care of or not) add weight and constant tension which weaken the the natural lash and eventually retard the growth... with that said people should only get a lash lift every 8 to 12 weeks so the perm is not overlapping.. your welcome
Honestly as a lash tech who does lash lifts and loves them myself, you're not wrong. Lash extensions will never damage your lashes IF they are applied properly and kept clean with proper cleanser. But lash perms honestly do do damage over time in my experience and most techs will not admit to this! Also yes, you get what you pay for, groupon is not ideal for extensions but it's def expensive so I totally understand
wearing pure organic castor oil on your eyelashes and eyebrows to bed every night works wonders!
I’m a certified lash tech and licensed Esthetician who does do both lash lifts and extensions, and you’re supposed to wait 8-9 weeks before getting another lash perm, if you get it constantly the chemicals strip the natural bonds of your lashes just like dying your hair over and over. Extensions are just like a mask, does not harm your lashes unless you pull them out or your lash tech does them incorrectly. But just like everything you NEED to take a break to Let them breathe!
The technician has over-processed the lashes when doing the lift! They shouldn't be criss-crossed or zig-zaggy, this means they have had the perming solution left on for too long. When training, we are taught how to correct lashes that have been over-processed (and look how yours did in the video) as this is not how they should end up! With correct care and procedure, lash lifts can be gentle and non-damaging to your lashes :) xx
I’m Korean and my lashes stick straight down into my eyes. What I’ve been doing for so many years is curling them then coating them with a very light layer of water proof mascara. This way you can coat them with as much regular mascara as you want and they won’t fall AND it actually comes off at the end of the night with warm water and doesn’t strip your lashes the way water proof does. 👍🏼
For a lash lift, always wait 8 weeks between appointments, your lashes need to renew, you can't double process or they will get damaged, so many people and doing lifts on their clients too frequently. you can only perm once, then you have to wait for new lashes before you lift them again. For extensions they shed with your natural lashes too but cause we isolate the new lashes and can target them for the infill you can have these more frequently, but obviously make sure your tech is qualified and knows what they are doing. Hope this helps anybody thinking of having either.
Can we all just appreciate how hard working this woman is? Damn I aspire to be like you one day Alana.
My lash extensions are great and they’ve never ruined my lashes. They make me feel so confident.
If your lash tech applied them correctly your lashes should NEVER be damaged.
Ugh I want to get under eye prp please do a video!
Your lashes are actually goals! 💕 Is fiancé does my voice over coming soon??
I’m so glad you’re talking about this stuff because it’s literally a life saver
Hi Alana! My specialty is Keratin lash lifts and I also do lash extensions. What I tell my clients after they get a lash lift is that it’s important to use a Keratin nourishing serum to condition your lashes. Bc just like when you get a perm or relaxer on your hair you would need to condition it. Also the reason why they start to look wonky is bc the grow out stage. Our lashes grow just like the hair on our head so it starts looking weird and wonky..that’s when I suggest to use castor oil. Keratin nourishing serum should be used everyday to extend the life of lift. You shouldn’t get another lash lift until 8 weeks, even if some look crazy. Also never use a lash curler while having your lash lift. Your lashes have been processed and by using a lash curler it may damage them even more more. Also not all lash perms or lifts are created equal, it’s best to go to someone that does them regularly and specializes in them. Lash extensions do not harm your natural lashes as long as they were applied correctly. The wear and tear may happen from the actual client if they don’t take care of the lashes. Lash extensions usually last 2-3 weeks before you have to fill them. It’s best to comb them daily and wash them every day with lash foam... unfortunately you may not see it but when the tech does your fill she will know if you are washing them or not. The reason for washing them is to have better retention and and a fluffier prettier look. I hope what I wrote made sense 💕
Yesss!! Please post about how you helped with hairline hair loss and how you got your eyebrows thicker💗💗💗
im surprised tbh, i assumed a perm was better for your lashes! thank you for sharing. would love to see the hair and eyebrow video
I’ve had lash extensions for almost a year and I had to clean them everyday and brush them out around month 3 of continuously having them and I want to try a lash perm instead! Lash extensions are way more expensive than a lash perm where I’m at and I’ve always been hesitant because I didn’t want to wreck my already shitty natural lashes. I’m so happy that you made this video I’m now going to get my lashes permed!!
