She didn't break until she talked about the other hostages.. survivors guilt is so heartbreaking
War has no winners, almost everyone can agree. But civilians on EITHER side, do not deserve to be caught in it.
The fact that she was able to remain composed after telling all the horror she survived, but she break down and cried when he remembered leaving and feeling bad for the rest of the hostages being kept there, says a lot about her beautiful spirit
I was a trauma nurse for a number of years here in the United States. The development of seizures can be a blast injury. You don't have to have a visible exterior blast injury for there to be injury. She spoke of the explosion right before her capture that damaged her hearing for three days… The seizures wouldn't manifest right away ... it would take time. Thanks be to God for her deliverance.
I prayed for you Mia to be set free. I give God praise for setting you free and for give you the strength and wisdom that helped you while you were in captivity. I pray that any remaining hostages will be set free in the coming days. May God continue to give you strength and wisdom on your road to recovery.
Thank you for the English ST's! If it were not for that, as an American I would not have been able to watch and comprehend the story. No human being (regardless of ethnicity, gender or any other characteristic) should be treated the way Ms. Schem was. I wish her nothing but best during her recovery and healing 🙏
Good for her having the guts to do these interviews and tell the real story. She’s clearly been through more than any person should.
thanks for putting the english subtitles.
Everyone deserves love and a life without any kind of war. I wish EVERYONE the best.
That cry when finally embracing her mom.... My God that was heartbreaking.
This is so weird. Palestinian girls have so many horrible things to say about Israeli prisons but this girl is feeling proud about a woman being jealous of her hair and smiling and she's happy about the guy not being happy with his wife. And people in the comments are sobbing lol Meanwhile children, toddlers and newborns are dying but its okay because they're evil? What a wonderful world!
It made me cry when she cried about the other hostages. She was so unbelievably stoic while explaining everything else. Obviously, she's disconnected because of trauma. But that the hostages is what broke her... Really touched me.
Thank you for sharing your difficult journey to get back home. Still praying for all!
It will never be over for her. She will learn to live with it, but it will haunt her forever. My father lived in occupied Holland during WW2, with the last name of Cohen. He survived, most of his friends did not. It stayed with him his whole life.
I'm so glad she is doing this interview. People needed to be reminded constantly so we don't forget the evil in the world and stay strong against it.
Thank you for sharing your experience. No one except those who have shared the experience of captivity can begin to understand the extreme trauma you went through. Your interview was incredibly brave. I felt overwhelmed hearing your experience. I was once held at gunpoint for 6 hours. I prayed the entire time. When I was allowed to leave, I literally disassociated from what I experienced. It was several years before I told someone what happened. You are much stronger than you believe. Keep talking with those you trust. ❤ May God bless you and yours and continue to keep you safe. Sincerely, Sheryl Mayer, United States of America.
Wow! I wish I could give her a HUG. Her interview… it took my heart
Young lady! I am praying for healing spiritually , mental and physical! When I saw the picture of you with your arm all bandaged looked at your 👀 saw all the pain I cried! I knew I needed to pray for you So glad God answered my prayers about you being released! You are a brave , courageous woman
Praying for those poor hostages in Gaza who must be suffering in extreme conditions and starving and maybe thirsty. Please Father, be with them and send your angels to keep them strong. Please help them to hang on to hope and soften the hearts and minds of their captors and bring them home to their families who are waiting with loving arms to hold them again. Please be with them, and protect them. Amen.
