Beyond the llamas, you find these culinary masters with the highest Asian percentage, mountain folk with super powers, and a backstory that developed an entire empire all without the use of a wheel. #Peru is here. ENJOY!

Fun fact: The Finnish word for ”Potato” (while being derived from a Germanic word for ”Pear”) is: ”Peruna”, which is also the essive case for the name ”Peru”, meaning: ”As Peru”. 🥔🇵🇪🇫🇮😆

Peru is a very multiracial country, my grandmother was Italian, my father was from Lima from the capital of Spanish descent, I was born here in Peru in this beautiful country, proud to be Peruvian.

@Themusicalpuzzle

I'm peruvian. My mom is 75% chinese and my father's grandfather was british and my father's mom has afroperuvian roots. I love that it is like I am a little of everything hahaha. I love how diverse is this country.

Btw, Chinese people who lives here call themselves "Tusan" I think this word is used also in other countries and Japanese people call themselves "Nikkei".

@erinnadia0409

I love Peru. It was one of the best countries I’ve ever visited.

Recent anthropology studies say that the Incas actually knew about the wheel (we found a lot of wheeled children toys).
The reason the wheel was not present in their culture is that... it was not very helpful in the mountains.
Therefore Wheels naturally took over the flatlands of Europe but its not a civilization marker like we taught.
