@yveltal7012

1. Eat vegetables first in the meal
2. If eating sweets, make sure it's after main meal, not between
3. Go for a walk after eating
4. Drink water

@xander1756

My successful weight reduction tips.

- Regular exercise, even a 20 minute walk. If it's raining, do Calisthenics (especially Planking, to build up core).
- 20 minutes daily of sunlight exposure
- Drink filtered water.
- Juicing - fruits and veggies.
- Don't combine food types i.e., fatty foods + carbs.
- Avoid processed foods.
- Replace sugar with Stivia or other natural alternatives, avoid toxic artifical sweeteners.
- Don't have a large or heavy meal for dinner. The body replenishes and repairs while asleep, a large\heavy meal takes a lot of energy to process, thus robbing replenish and repair efforts.
- 3 day or intermittent fasting. I always shed 1 - 2kg on a 3 day water or juice fast*
(I'm retired , so 3 day fasting is easy, would be difficult if I had a strenuous physical job)
*with L-carnitine supplement. An element found in natural foods that signals the body to eat fat storage first for energy.

- Reduce weight slowly, so the body can adjust, thus reduce physical and mental stress while shedding.
Making weight shedding enjoyable\less painful, aids in continuation.

The tips from Jessie:
1. eat savory breakfast, not carbs on breakfast
2. snacks has to be treated as any meal. No snacks is better
3. a glass of water with a spoon of vinegar 15min before meal is cutting the glycemic response with 30%
4. eat vegetables first, in the meal. Ideally with a spoon of vinegar (if point 3 was not possible)
5. meal order to eat: vegetables, protein, and after fat+ carbs + sweets.
6. walk 10min after meal
7. feed the body, don't go severe restrictions
8. if 90min after meal I have cravings /sleepiness, this is glycemic failing down reaction post a not proper meal for my body.
9. all sugars are sugars. Honey/syrups included. That is painful for me :)
10. not hunting perfection, if one meal is not perfect, I can do it better next meal.

After suffering from Fibromyalgia for 30 years, I have been eating the way you teach us in your book. No more fibromyalgia symptoms for 6 months . Thanks

@joannas7031

I follow her advices for 2 weeks and already I see huge change: I am not hungry anymore, eat less, lost 2 kg, feel much stronger, clear mind.

@johnpickett8533

I saw one snippet ,you said in restaurants ,they give bread at the beginning of a meal...90 minutes last you'll " want" dessert because of the spike from the bread. That's huge.

@CarolinaOrtegavnzl

i am pre-diabetic and had been putting on weight for the last 4 years - and no diet/ exercise regime was helping - since reading your book i've lost 15 kg and have more energy, sleep better - still follow them and will make this a life time habit

@VB-ol1kn

This is all true
I tested.
For me, no more than 3 meals, breakfast, lunch dinner
Nothing in between.
I eat a meal that is not going to spike my glucose level, start by salad, adding cooked vegetable stew, meat, lentils…. So many options.
I have not touched sugary food for 3 month, have no desire. The only thing I am eating is dark chocolate 88%. I was pre diabetic and after 5 months no more, my cholesterol level is still high but went down 40 points.
I feel no hunger between meals it’s like what I eat fully nourishes my body.
Thank you for getting me rid of my sugar addiction

@edithcabrera5086

@ScarlettDuchess

I reversed my severe insulin resistance removing all refined sugar from my diet and ate fruit for dessert instead every night. I effortlessly lost 23 kg, woke up alert, no more fatigue.

@livheyerdahl5829

I have lost so much weight from eating like this over the last 3 months after watching many of your YouTube videos. I am so much healthier and no more brain fog. Thank you soooo much. I do have pictures if you want to see them. X

Bfast: grass-fed beef, tallow, fish oil, green banana flour (GBF), salt, Lunch: Sardines, then Greek Yogurt with Organic Fruit, Dinner: Chicken Thighs w Blueberries, GBF and Ghee, Snacks: Greek yogurt with organic fruit. Then add her hacks on top, vinegar and exercise afterwards. Add mulberry leaf and berberine to your vinegar drink for max insulin benefits!

@krissycus

I love this method because it fits the idea of "first do no harm". There is really no harm in savory breakfast, a shot of vinegar, working in more veggies, moving after eating, etc. I did paleo for many years, and while I loved having permission to eat great meat and fat, I found that I was craving carbs so much and cutting out entire food groups. Eating became a chore, and it was also causing my kids to demonize certain foods and even sneak desserts behind my back b/c they felt guilty. I'm so glad I ended that madness. I am tempted to pursue fasting but have heard that it can be harmful to women if you don't do it just right. I'm so over feeling guilty and perfectionistic about how I eat. I will incorporate your hacks and move on with my life!

@icedsphere

Every night, ever since I was 18, I've been afraid of dying while I sleep.
I don't have diabetes, but still, my glucose levels spiked during the night. My heart raced to a level I thought it was going to explode, and it happened almost every night, while I was totally conscious of it. The doctors told me nothing was wrong with me. I suffered from intense anxiety due to this, and every night, while experiencing it, I used to think "this is it".
One of my classmates in the masters told me about another woman that suffered the same that I was describing. He told me her life changed because of this method, so I bought the book.

My life really changed and I haven't had these spikes anymore. You just can't understand how grateful I am.

@ginalee7704

Jessie, After using your food hacks (I eat whole foods) I went from two meals a day to one meal a day I no longer feel hungry❤
I used to eat fruits, lots of them but now I don’t really want to eat sweets 🎉
I don’t know how I could get as excited looking at fruit as I did before.

I’ve been using her tips now for a week, and I have seen the difference. I was fatigued come the afternoon (I work in aviation) and I wasn’t sleeping the best.
Since doing these hacks, I have stable energy.

Back in October, I asked my students to tell me what they did exciting over the summer. One student said she had read your book and changed her way of eating, thus getting rid of acne for the first time in seven years. I read the book, too, and I have been following the tips ever since. I went from 52 kg in October to 45 today. I am only 147 cm tall, just for context. It was the only thing that worked for me. I had tried everything under the sun to lose these pounds! It is not a diet. It is a lifestyle. And the best one I have found. I am eternally grateful to you, Jessie. And I keep on talking about you every time people ask how I lost the weight. :)

@kirstinayre

21 pounds down since starting this in January, last hba1c was down 10%!For the first time in my life I feel in control of my eating x❤
