Hi Ajahn, that was a very relevant introduction. I just put on a guided meditation for 15 minutes to get me back into my good meditations. I am trying to do kindness. I am trying to be kind. I have certainly built up these feelings. It is good to nothing - though at times one has to do something. I love your metaphor about sunsets. Mindfulness is the key.

If it seems like you've forgotten what meditation is all about and the instructions aren't making sense. It's because a lot of these terms can only be defined by looking at their opposite. For example the opposite of 'abiding in yourself' is craving, daydreaming, fantasizing.
