And then mark said: "son, dont worry, you cant kill me, because im-" cue title card
Marky really said âi couldâve killed youâ yeah heâs a couple decades too early.
The amount of sorry I feel for that kid is immesurable. He really deserved better.
Marky: What Will I Have In 500 Hundred Years Mark: Youâll Have Me Son
THINK MARKY THINK, YOULL OUTLAST EVERY FRAGILE INSIGNIFICANT BEING ON THIS PLANET
Love how Mark is starting to look like Nolan
"WHAT'S 17 MORE YEARS!!!?"
Marky will be a fine heir to the empire. He is learning the exact lessons mark and Nolan learned to lead with compassion
"you made terra with love, and I was made with hate"-Marky
"Grandpa Nolan, I don't know if I can live up to my father's name... After all, I'd have to be [TITLE CARD]"
They live so long that rebuilding their relationship is a very true possibility.
That's beautiful that it gets to mirror the fight with Nolan
Mark didn't really abandon Marky though. The man Anissa married, who raised Marky up until that point, asked Mark to let him raise Marky on earth. Yeah he didn't check up on him as much as he said he would but he was the leader of an empire, he had stuff to do.
Marky became the greatest hero as well by the end of the series, he brought peace and stability to earth and that entire side of the solar system
It was less Mark abandoned him, and more Anissaâs human husband/mate wanted to raise Marky and his sister on Earth. Mark didnât feel compelled to force them to leave as thatâd be cruel
I think a lot of people tend to misunderstand that Mark not having a responsibility to Marky doesnât mean he has any animosity towards him or that heâs a bad dad. Two things can exist at one time.
"Don't worry son, you'd never have been able to beat me"
Honestly, I'm just sad for Marky. It's hard to connect with a child who was conceived this way, most victims struggle with it. I'm glad they were able to reconcile somewhat in the comics but they'll never have a proper son father relationship and that's sad cause it's not either of their fault.
This is why I love Invincible, they tackle hard topics while still being engaging.
