I think this has shown me that I'm not mediating on who I am in Christ. Hearing is not enough, my identity in Christ has to be pondered over in my mind to really get it into my heart, spirit and beliefs, and to root out all the worldly things from which I am trying to get my identity.

I don't know if I'm getting this right, but I believe people are crushing themselves because they're comparing themselves to someone else. We are a masterpiece of the created we are all unique. Perhaps this truth has not entered our hearts, but it does not even change who we are in Christ Jesus.
