This is fantastically helpful, thank you.
Best episode ever! Thank you, Cara, for your candor, bravery, and staggering determination!
This has been very helpful to me. Thank both! Excellent program!
I loved what Cara said about doing her yearlong retreat.. “ you don’t have to do it by yourself.”❤
Such a great discussion. Thank you!
I feel looseness is important - it is not the same as carelessness... but it is including our well being in the equation. The truth about dharma, from what I gathered is, if you are not kind, loving, supportive, have compassion for yourself and the challenges, then you cannot be genuine to help others. Technique is technique and I see a lot of Retreats where it is easy to fall into the trap of performance. I feel we need to gently tune to our inner life, and get to know ourselves on the inner plane, and work with that until we are healed enough; this way our heart-mind and expands automatically. I have the tendency to be hard on myself re application of techniques and what they tell you to do or how to be: but then what I do is eventually give up!!! But I am realizing that I am the one to be here for me - no one else can. .. not in an ego sense or self-centered way... but spirit sense and with the body-mind-heart together; . I think this is the middle way. Mostly guys teach Dharma and women fall under that umbrella who teach it... BUT we have a different way, which if integrated, will make the practice more whole and user friendly. My thoughts. Thanks for the program and the real sharing! WOW
Is meditation equal to concentration??
Is this escapism??
